Valcon and BAM enter into multi-year partnership

9 September 2022: Valcon, the leading North European technology, data and consulting firm, and construction group BAM have today announced they have entered into a strategic partnership. The framework agreement means the two organisations will collaborate more intensively on the smart implementation of data and technology solutions.

BAM and Valcon have been working together for some time, especially in the Netherlands. It has now been decided to cement the collaboration – as part of BAM’s journey to transition into a data-driven organisation – with a multi-year framework agreement. Valcon will provide enhanced support to BAM’s activities in the UK and Ireland. Valcon will, among other things, help with the further digitisation of BAM’s data and technology processes.

Eelco Simon, Partner at Valcon commented: “BAM and Valcon share the same values and principles.  The agreement has been a great fit for us and we are confident the long-term agreement will be of value to both organisations. We have been delighted to work with BAM in recent years and the fact that we have the same growth ambitions means our values are highly aligned. Valcon’s colleagues really feel part of the BAM team. It is an important step for Valcon – we strive for long term relationships with our customers. It is great to see that BAM aspires to the same vision as us – the partnership brings value to us both.”

Mario Broos, Executive Director BAM Residential, agreed: “Both companies work well together. Our corporate cultures have a lot of similarities, which means our teams integrate seamlessly. We have come to know Valcon as a solutions-oriented company, as they are continually coming up with new and refreshing ideas. We anticipate considerable additional business benefit from the collaboration, and a renewed focus on areas where we can implement data-driven improvement plans.”

Henry van de Ven, executive director IT (CIO) at BAM – who was closely involved in the conclusion of the agreement – sees a concrete role for Valcon at BAM in the future: “BAM is undergoing transformation in which digitisation plays a central role and IT is an important enabler for digitisation. Valcon brings a lot of knowledge and experience, especially in the field of data, low code and hyper automation. They will continue to support us in the areas where Valcon has proven itself as a partner, as well as exploring new remits. Valcon will certainly continue to play an important role for us in helping us to achieve our IT ambitions.”
