Utrecht, 7 July 2026 – Valcon, a leading European consultancy specialising in AI and data-driven business transformation, today announced the upcoming launch of Meridian, a new Valcon service that helps organisations put agentic AI into practice quickly, while keeping security, compliance and European data sovereignty under control.
With Meridian, organisations can:
- Automate complex business processes using agentic AI.
- Achieve business value faster without first building all capabilities in-house.
- Stay in control of data, governance, security and regulations, including the EU AI Act and GDPR.
- Build internal capabilities so ownership can gradually transition to client organisations.
- Reuse existing technology and AI investments through a technology-agnostic approach.
Meridian takes over selected business processes from client organisations and transforms them into AI-powered, agent-driven operations. This allows organisations to benefit from agentic AI much faster, with clear cost control and operational responsibility for AI-powered processes in production.
At the same time, organisations remain in control of their data, internal governance and their regulatory requirements. Meridian can also be deployed using fully European-sovereign infrastructure.
While running these operations, Meridian helps organisations build the knowledge and capabilities needed to eventually take ownership themselves. This includes strengthening data foundations, governance, operating models, process redesign, training and change management. Once the client organisation is ready, the complete solution can be handed over, including the governance framework.
Meridian is technology agnostic, allowing organisations to build on their existing AI, data and technology landscape while remaining flexible for the future.
Koko Visser, Group Head of AI at Valcon, said: “Meridian helps organisations move from having agentic AI ambitions to achieving real business results. Meridian means we can design, operate and govern agentic AI solutions, which allows clients to realise value quickly while at the same time building the capabilities they need to take ownership themselves. And at a time when European data sovereignty is paramount, Meridian will give organisations peace of mind with regard to data residency.”
Sander de Jongh, Group Head of Data at Valcon, added: “Agentic AI is only successful when the right foundations are in place. Strong data, clear governance and the ability to run AI safely in production are essential – but it takes organisations a long time to put these building blocks in place. Meridian brings all of this together, so organisations can benefit sooner while building their own agentic AI capability for the long term.”
Geert van de Goor, CEO at Valcon, said: “Agentic AI has the potential to fundamentally change how organisations operate, but the real challenge is no longer proving the technology. It is about turning it into reliable, governed and scalable business processes. With Meridian, we help clients move faster while staying in control, combining immediate operational impact for them with the foundations needed for long-term ownership. Meridian will ensure they don’t get left behind in the race for agentic AI adoption and will help them to ready their businesses for future AI innovation.”
