Their existing third-party solution for monitoring the competitive landscape lacked scalability and did not provide sufficient coverage across all markets.

Approach
Valcon developed a solution that uses web scraping to collect market data, extract relevant product information and match competitor products to internal product portfolios using state-of-the-art AI models.
A custom front-end application was also developed to enable human feedback and validation of suggested product matches, supporting continuous improvement of the matching process.
Scalability and performance were further enhanced by simplifying the model architecture and leveraging modern database technologies.
