The role of the finance function is expanding to encompass areas such as strategy and sustainability. However, this requires improved collaboration with the business and strong governance.
The full potential of digitalisation has yet to be realised, with the main barriers reported as poor data quality, lack of competence and fragmented IT environments.
- AI is not yet a part of most finance functions; however, 56% of respondents have planned investments in AI within the next two years.
