At Valcon, we help organisations create a Trusted Data Foundation: reliable, understandable, traceable and secure data that can be confidently used across business operations, analytics and AI.
As a Data Management Consultant, you work at the intersection of business, data and technology. You help clients improve how they govern, manage and use their data—from defining a strategy and operating model to implementing practical processes, roles and supporting technology.
You will join a multidisciplinary team of data management consultants, business consultants, architects and technology specialists. Together, we deliver sustainable solutions that create measurable value for our clients.

Experience

  • A completed bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field
  • At least three years of relevant experience in data management, data governance, data quality, data stewardship or Master Data Management
  • Experience in consulting or working within complex, stakeholder-rich organisations
  • The ability to independently structure and deliver a client assignment or workstream
  • Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder-management skills
  • Experience facilitating workshops and translating complex topics into clear, practical recommendations
  • Professional fluency in both Dutch and English
  • Experience with platforms such as Collibra or Informatica is an advantage. Relevant certifications or experience with data governance frameworks and regulations are also welcome.

Depending on your experience and the client’s needs, you will contribute to or lead assignments in areas such as:

  • Data strategy, maturity assessments and implementation roadmaps
  • Data governance, operating models, ownership and stewardship
  • Data quality management, controls and remediation
  • Master Data Management and reference data management
  • Metadata management, business glossaries, data catalogues and lineage
  • Data and AI governance, regulatory compliance and responsible data use
  • Semantic data management and organisational change

You translate strategic ambitions into practical solutions. This may involve assessing a client’s current maturity, designing governance structures, facilitating stakeholder workshops, defining roles and processes, selecting or implementing technology, and supporting adoption across the organisation.
