Consulting group Valcon announces that Bianca den Elsen will take on the role of managing partner for Valcon Netherlands as of 1 March 2022. Valcon originated as a combination of First Consulting, Viqtor Davis and Valcon Nordics. Most recently, P2 Consulting and Typeqast have also joined Valcon, making it an organisation of more than 1,250 employees in Europe.
Den Elsen will be responsible for the Dutch part of Valcon which is well represented in the Dutch market with approximately 580 consultants. Bianca takes over the role from Geert van den Goor who combined the Dutch role with the responsibility for the Valcon group.
Bianca has over 23 years of experience in consultancy and managerial roles. From 2015, Bianca was a partner at Deloitte Consulting where she was part of the consulting leadership team. From 2019, she was part of the executive committee of Deloitte Netherlands, responsible for clients and industries. Before that, den Elsen worked as managing director at Accenture in the Netherlands and the Philippines. Bianca has two young children with her husband Patrick. She lives in Hilversum, loves to travel and can be found on the Frisian lakes. She is also studying psychology.
On joining Valcon, Bianca comments, “On first hearing that Geert was looking for a new managing partner in the Netherlands and my name was mentioned, I was delighted. I already know several people who work at Valcon (formerly First Consulting) and have heard many good stories about the culture and ambition of the group. After a series of conversations with Geert and the other partners at Valcon, I said yes to this great opportunity without hesitation. The Valcon values, the people, the diversity of customers, the growth ambition, the strategy and the breadth of services from strategy to operations and from boardroom to shop floor, appeal to me enormously. I hope that with my experience I can contribute to the sustainable growth of Valcon both in the Netherlands and internationally.”
On Bianca joining Valcon, group managing partner Geert van den Goor comments, “I know Bianca from our time together at Accenture where we collaborated on joint projects. I have followed her career with great interest, with our paths crossing occasionally. In addition to the vast amount of experience that she brings, I am also convinced that Bianca fits very well with our no-nonsense culture, something that is crucial for us. I am very much looking forward to working together again.”
With more than 1,250 employees, Valcon combines client operations consulting with in-depth experience with technology and data. The organisation is active in the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Denmark, Sweden, Germany and nearshore locations in Croatia, Serbia and Romania. Valcon is supported by the private equity firm Waterland.
