We helped Blokker Holding enable eCommerce through MDM

Situation

Blokker Holding wanted to increase their e-commerce activities and needed to combine multiple formulas (Intertoys, BartSmit, Xenos, Cook&Co, Leen Bakker and Blokker) into one MDM and e-commerce platform centralizing online activities and increasing competition with online retailers such as Bol.com and CoolBlue.

Approach

We developed and executed an MDM roadmap for Blokker Holding, integrating and migrating the formulas into one platform centralizing the master data/content enrichment activities, combining the assortments into one master catalogue for all, but with keeping the strategic/commercial differentiators for each category (household, toys, gaming, living, etc.). The solution is fully integrated into the Blokker system landscape and with external parties, such as Mirakl, Relay, BazaarVoice, etc.

Results

Blokker was able to increase the overall revenue and gross profit of the online activities. Especially, via the Mirakl marketplace, external sellers can now also sell through the Blokker website, increasing over product portfolio and revenue, providing Blokker with an additional steady revenue stream.
