We are looking for medior and senior Data Engineers with strong experience in Azure who can think critically about projects and take ownership of the solutions they design and deliver. At Valcon, you’ll be supported in your personal and professional development and provided with the right tools to grow. 

 

You will work on diverse Azure-based projects — from complex architectures for international enterprises to scalable solutions for high-growth scale-ups. The focus is always on delivering business value by linking business knowledge with deep Data Engineering expertise. Our projects span both on-premises and cloud environments, including AWS and Azure.  

Duties & Responsibilities 

 

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and architectures in Azure. 

  • Work on custom data warehousing, real-time pipelines, ETL. 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. 

  • Optimize data workflows for performance, scalability, and reliability. 

  • Ensure data quality, security, and compliance with industry standards. 

  • Responsible for making technical choices for customers. 

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in Data Engineering and share knowledge with the team

Experience

  • Experience in utilizing and developing data solutions in Azure Cloud environment.,
  • Advanced proficiency in at least one modern ETL tool (e.g., Azure Data Factory or Databricks)..
  • Proficient in Spark SQL for data manipulation
  • Experience optimizing Databricks workloads, utilizing Databricks Asset Bundles for infrastructure and experience with CI/CD pipelines will be highly valued.
  • Working knowledge of Databricks Unity Catalog for data governance is a plus.
  • Experience with Python/PySpark is a plus.
  • Ability to interpret large amounts of data and to clearly communicate insights derived from data analyses.
  • Experience with reporting tools (Power BI or Tableau) is a plus.
  • Ability to easily understand business processes.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically about requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • High level of English proficiency (written and spoken)
