Situation
Lots of processes were initiated by documents received in various ways; every department had its own way of handling these documents; similar processes were implemented multiple times in multiple ways; no clear transparency and traceability were possible.
Approach
In close collaboration with enterprise architecture, we designed a framework to support the centralisation of document intake, classification and extraction. Orchestration of services is clearly defined with several (intake, OCR, archival) already implemented.
Results
As a result of the project, individual functional processes benefit from ready-made services lowering time-to-market by a magnitude. Documents and data can now be traced from initial intake up to process completion.
