Situation
The business side of the problem showed no standardisation within and across locations and business units leading to operational errors and inflexibility. The technical side of the problem showed fragmented and siloed systems data landscape, inconsistent data quality and unclear ownership and integration complexity.
Approach
Valcon created a multi-domain MDM strategy and roadmap. This defined a new data governance structure and processes, standardised data management processes, a data model aligned across business units as well as an organisational rollout plan. The solution was implemented for all stakeholders.
Results
The MDM Vision & Roadmap has set the foundation for change. The implementation is realising the foundation and driving change processes. One standardised and shared master data set, supporting both current and future processes and systems.
